2nd FIDE CHESS OLYMPIAD FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Regulations for the Chess Olympiad for People with disabilities.

MAIN POINTS OF REGISTRATION:

A total of 6 people is considered as “invited participants” – 4 players, 1 captain/reserve player and 1 accompanying person. Other additional players/accompanying persons/officials of the national federations may also register (for visa invitation letters) and participate in the Chess Olympiad for PwD 2025 at the expense of their national federations (invoice for additional players/accompanying persons shall be sent to the national federation after the registration).

Each team shall register 4 players (at least one player of each gender) and 1 captain/reserve player. Every team should preferably consist of at least 2 rated players. Players without rating shall be granted with provisional rating of 1400.

The teams are made up of players with heatring impairment, physical disability and visual impairment. The teams may consist of any number of the three categories of disability.

Official document issued by the national health authority for every team player to certify their disability – a scan of the document should be provided upon registration and brought to Astana for the records and validation of the Chess Olympiad for PwD 2025 Classification Committee.

Any replacement of team’s members shall be allowed only for reasons deemed admissible by DIS and accepted via email to dis@fide.com until 23 September 2025. Replacement after 23 September 2025 is allowed only in case of obvious force majeure and circumstances that arose after that date.

Please note that invite letters for visa process (if needed) will be sent to you after your registration is completed and submitted.

Arrival date is 19 October, departure date is 26 October 2025.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TICKETS FOR PLAYERS, RESERVE AND INVITED ACCOMPANYING PERSON SHALL BE PURCHASED BY THE ORGANIZERS. No reimbursement and no subsidy is provided.

ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION

Twin and single rooms on full board basis shall be provided by the Organiser. Check-in date is 19 October 2025, check-out date is 26 October.
